Malindi Head and Neck Surgical Camps

Malindi Head and Neck Surgical camp is an annual event that happens in Kilifi county for two weeks. In it we have distinguished head and neck surgeons for the USA and locally. The aim of the surgical camp is to perform complex surgeries for the needy patients as we do knowledge and skills exchange/ transfer. It is free for all and patients come from all over the country including as far as to the western part of Kenya – more than 1000KM or so.

The project lead person is a great professor from USA, Prof Netterville. He is a great teacher and a highly skilled ENT Head and Neck surgeon. A man we have learnt not only the science of surgery to the neck but also the art. He is an invaluable mentor with unmatched humility.

Nakuru PGH Otology surgical camps

A great experience with exceptionally gifted surgeons Dr Ayugi, Prof Bush and Dr Babu in what is dubbed Prof Bush project. A project that has run annually for the past more than 10 years with the mission to serve the underserved population as we benefit in terms of knowledge and skill transfer. This particular year it was done at Nakuru PGH hosted by Dr Sitima and Dr Oywer, two very talented specialists in the ENT Field. 

MTRH Head & Neck Surgical Camp

Run by a team from the USA. A great team that performs surgical operations at one of our national referral hospitals- MTRH annually. In it, knowledge and skill transfer happens. Dr Cordes, Dr Avinash and the entire team, you are such an impactful team and keep inspiring us. Your nobility is inspiring.

FESS Course and  Advanced Temporal bone course

The courses are held annually at KNH and are meant to refresh skills and knowledge in practicing specialist. The FESS course covers rhinology (Nose) surgeries from the basics to advanced surgeries while the advanced temporal course covers otology ( Ear) surgeries at a more advanced level after the basic course.

KENTS conferences

Annually, every month of May, we have our society’s scientific conference where we gather and share experiences, knowledge and skills. It is mostly a 4-5 day conference and starts with a hands-on pre-conference workshop touching on varied area of interest each year.
